St Gerard Majella School has quality facilities which are constantly being maintained and improved. The school has both very modern spaces as well as contemporary learning areas.
In 2010 the school opened its 21st century Library which is open, bright, welcoming and flexible for a variety of learning activities. Also opened was a Performing Arts area with fully equipped stage and lighting equipment.
St Gerard Majella Parents and Friends have actively engaged in the beautification projects of the school.
In 2017, the Peace and Fairy Gardens were redeveloped, creating spaces for relaxation and outdoor learning. In 2018 we officially opened our Nature Play Space at the Raintree which provides experiential opportunities allowing children to respond positively to challenges and responsibilities, to manage risk and to cope with change.
The school is well equipped for the tropics, with a large amount of undercover and shaded play spaces. This includes a double-sized hard court surface.
The school has invested considerably to upgrade its Information Technology network to enable the digital learning initiatives that the school is now engaged in. This included the installation of fibre optic cabling as well as high powered wireless access points.
Each of the air conditioned classrooms has an Interactive Whiteboard or screen which connects students and teachers to the web and many teaching and learning resources.
